Investigative Research

Conducts open-source intelligence, court-record review, background research, and institutional analysis. We connect information across documents, people, organizations, and events to build clear timelines, identify patterns, and develop actionable investigative leads.

Survivor Advocacy

We provide survivor-centered support grounded in dignity, informed choice, and respect. TruthLine helps survivors document their experiences, understand available options, prepare for professional conversations, and connect with appropriate legal, investigative, or advocacy resources without pressure.

Legal Strategy

TruthLine supports attorneys and legal teams through research, document organization, chronology development, potential witness identification, and case-background preparation. We help organize complex information so qualified legal professionals can evaluate it efficiently; however, TruthLine does not provide legal advice or representation.

Emotional Safety

Sensitive investigations require more than accurate information—they require responsible communication. We prioritize consent, privacy, personal boundaries, and each individual’s control over their participation while avoiding pressure, unnecessary retraumatization, or promises we cannot ethically make.

U.S. Road Map: The Record Of Silence

Streetlight.mp4

In January 2026, Jesslyn began an ongoing research initiative examining reports and allegations of child sexual abuse, institutional responses, and reporting practices connected to Jehovah’s Witness congregations across the United States.

Over the course of approximately eight months and more than 200 hours of research, source outreach, document review, and data collection, the project identified and cataloged 1,433 congregation-linked instances involving allegations, reported concerns, or relevant documentation.

The Blue Pins Signify single occurrences of abuse documented. The Red Pins Signify multiple occurrences of abuse documented.

The Gold Pins Signify the ones who have been reported to the authorities, and perpetrators sentenced.

The project remains ongoing. Each entry is treated as a research lead or documented report rather than a determination of wrongdoing, and available information is reviewed and categorized based on the strength and nature of the underlying sources.

Jesslyn continues to collect records, evaluate new information, and identify patterns that may warrant further research or professional review. The current dataset represents only the information that has surfaced to date and should not be interpreted as a complete accounting of incidents nationwide.
